On this episode Tom and Bert cover and discuss the Greatest Make Out Songs of the decades (1950's-1960's).
After the Guys define what a "Make Out" Song is and means to them, they roll into the list of songs with some of the hits and their "Back Stories".
From the 1963 hit "Hey Paula" by Paul and Paula (20:17); to the 1963 Lenny Welch classic "Since I fell for you" (21:23); to the 1964 hit "The Girl from Ipanema" by Stan Getz and Astrud Gilberto (22:40) the guys give their thoughts.
Then they go through the R&B group The "Miracles" led by Smokey Robinson and the injustice of that group waiting many years to get inducted into the Rock and Roll HOF (25:20); before discussing The Temptations hit, "I wish it would rain" (31:50) and the meaning of those haunting lyrics.
They close the show with 1968's "You're all I need to get by" (33:06) sung by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell, 1968's "Build me up Buttercup" (35:39) by the Foundations, 1950's classic "Having a Party" (39:28) by the great Sam Cooke and a discussion on the Power of Music helping people with dementia by bringing them songs from their past and the joy it brings for these people.
